Have you pick up a good book to read lately?

My only excuse is because of school and work..but then again this is a lame excuse. I can always make time for reading..like while when i browe the internet
well my goal is to read a good book every week. let see how it goes. lol

I'm planing on picking up Water for Elephant, and The Help. I'll tell you guys how it goes. For those who read it please don't ruin the ending for me. Thanks.

Recommend some books for me also. I loveee reading books with historical theme to it. I also love to read:

    - war mémoire
    - fantasy
    - futuristic
    - philosophy (fiction)
    - books that take place during the past

I usually don't like reading contemporary books but if you pick up a good one and it's worth reading, please let me know

I think I said this before, but this is a really good book about North Korea. I have this weird passion about stuff like this and this book is amazing!

Oh sweet fun, I wanna be in this book club!

Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri is a good read. She's the same author of The Namesake. My fav short story in the book was, "Sexy."

it's good! very violent. the society the characters live in is F'd up.

so far, I've only read the first book. Good thing I saw this post. I just checked where I am on my Holds request for the 2nd book and the freakin library failed to notify me that the book was ready for pickup. sheesh, I woulda been fined for placing a hold on a book and not picking it up within a certain time frame. Good tactic for them to make money I guess. =/

I downloaded a few short stories on my kindle by Philip Dick and one of them was about a space expedition. Forgot what is was called. But it was pretty funny/interesting. The story was written probably over ten years ago and basically was talking about how they found a planet in ruins (Earth) because of war amongst themselves.

Battle Royale is awesome. My favorite characters are Mitsuko & Kiriyama. They are so evil but so delicious.

My bookmark is hanging around inside The Hunger Game book. I need to pick it back up.

I've been reading "L.A. Candy" by Lauren Conrad and so far it's pretty good although, the last book I read was "Burning Bright" by Tracy Chevalier and that was a very good read. I recommend it.

I haven't read for pleasure in more than 5 years. The last books I read to keep myself entertained were "Angels and Demon" and "Catch Me If You Can."

I bought the book "The DaVinci Code" before it became a movie, but sadly I never got around to reading it. It's by the same author as "Angels and Demon", which was a really good read. I ended up watching the movie and let my sister have the book.

These days I'm reading books on Information Technology more than anything else. I'm always trying to improve my programming skills and acquire new knowledge in the field, so I'm always into reading them.

Read the Hunger Games series not too long ago. GREAT SERIES! Can't wait to for the movie and movies there on after. Saw the trailer, I imagined Peeta to be pretty hot looking and the guy they picked, not so much =( oh well.

Anywho, I just finished Edge of Apocalypse of the End Series, searching the web for the next book.

I'm down for a book club if anyone else is!

I breezed through the first two books of The Hunger Games and I really enjoy it. Haven't read Mockinjay yet because I don't have a good copy on my iPad and waiting for my request for the book from the public library.

I can't wait for the movie either! I think they did a good job of casting for Peeta and Gale. It makes much sense for Gale to be more physically appealing to the public and even to Katniss.

Just got two books of romance books donated from my cousin. I am in romance book Heaven! :p
There are things beyond my control. And then there's me.
