    Spiritual Awakening...?

This is based on a true story of someone I know...

The individual went to the Emergency Room thinking he was going to die... twice actually. both times.. doctors hooked that person up to various instruments to check his physicals.. also asked him a series of questions to check his mental stability...

after which... the doctor concluded and gave the individual a diagnoses..

    the diagnoses was.. "spiritual awakening"...

if you were the individual... how would you receive it?

What is your definition of spiritual awakening?
    Anyone ever experienced it?
    What is it like? Experience?

Born again, spiritial awakening, epiphany, all so dramatic and make me wonder where were they head all before? That is the problem with western dumbies.

Anyway, this morning I had a spiritual re-awakening. We broke a leg off the sofa (imagine how) and I had an epiphany! I ran got this dusty bible and used it as a spare leg. Worked perfectly.

What about if eastern cultures agreed to the same thing? Say a buddhist monk.. or a Hindi guru? And what you describe as an Epiphany.. I call an idea.. remembering you had a book you can use to stabilize your sofa..I'm sure you have plenty of other philosophical self help books in your possession too... but I'm sure to make concrete your idea.. it had to be a bible. Right?

If I knew everything like you do... I don't even know why I would have a bible at the ready.. let alone make a comment like you just did... I think a person with at least some kind of open mind would instead maybe ask questions... like..

Why did he go to the er? It must've been something serious.. maybe pain? He did think he was going to die... why? Or maybe.. what was the religious background of the doctors? What was the guy experiencing exactly? You know... those kind of thoughtful questions.. ones that lead places..

But never mind... I'm sure you already have those answers... they're all either dumbies or crazies... and you're right.. you're probably the only sane person in this world..

Explain to me.. with your logical mind.. how does our eyes eyes work? Once you've googled the answer to that.. explain to me what then are we really looking at? Then look at yourself in the mirror.. what are you? Be a little more detailed than just saying... I'm a "person.. place.. or thing" then explain to me where in this universe of "matter".. does your non-physical "dream" have a place? I mean.. you do have dreams right? Maybe at least once?

Sorry dood.. I just wanna know.. tell me? Or you can just tell me either.. I don't know... or maybe you'll stop responding.. or maybe you'll get defensive and attack spirituality... or maybe you might have your own questions you'd like to share?

Hey you know what? I just had an Epiphany... so let me school you just a minute on what an ephinany is... I hope you have time to read all this.. which I know you do because you have a frickin bible in your hands..

So here's my Epiphany.. I responded to you when? Maybe a couple of hours ago.. just check time logs on the posts I tell you about. After my post I was like... hmmm I wonder how this guy will respond? I'm pretty sure he'll be like... "then what's an Epiphany?" And I do generally want to know your answers...

Anyways... between then and now... minus the time it takes me to write this bullshit to yo.. it's 12:47 right now.. you're Asian
I'm sure you have an abacus too. I was getting myself caught up with the solution for Cambodia American Khmer people association of ego monsters thread... when I had an Epiphany on how to hit these guys hard with some "knowledge"... so I'm writing post after post... which lead me to my post regarding my dad... end quote.. I should stop blaming him for all my issues... after I posted that... I had another Epiphany... that's the answer I've been looking for!!! Because I've been having issues with my dad since I was 13 after my mom died right? But it wasn't like I was thinking about it like.. shit!!! That just makes sense!!! Like it just came to me right? Then right after that I had another Epiphany... guess what that Epiphany was?

Let me go back and school this mofo right quick...

Most people nowaday dont care to reach because of all the indulging pleasures and physical stimulations all around, like music, nightclubs, strip joints, hardcore movies, spectator sports, casino/gambling, violent video game, eating, drugs, sex etc, but aside from those distraction, when a person became more mature, wise, it become easier to awaken the higher chakras and experience day to day life from a spiritual vantage and realized we are just flowing consciousness and what we may individially "will" for ourself (desires, actions, goals), all be is part of vast connected collective network out of all of us, one.

Learning about Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad and various other religious figures, seems they want people to have a spiritual connection with whatever divine entity personally & individually, rather than do it by joining a cult or organization that masks itself as a house for the gods. Jesus spoke of despising such things, even said it to be evil and demonic and I can see how it can easily turn out that way.

I also don't recognize these ppl as something that's holy, I see them as normal people that were philosophers. Yes, they were good people, but they weren't deities. I guess that's my spiritual epiphany for the day.

Since Tawn's thread iss about Spirituality, not sure why your talking about Religions. Its weird how you listed Buddha along with Jesus and Mohammad. Buddha never had conversations with God, while the other two claimed to be totally speaking on God's behalf and dishing out his orders. LOL

Um, you're either misinterpreting what I've said or you just don't comprehend lol.

I don't know what planet you're on, but the planet I'm on, spirituality goes hand in hand with religion. I also didn't specifically referred to "God" or said those folks worshipped God. You needa reread what I've said, or just ignore it since you don't understand what I'm talking about lol.

Religion is a manufactured, packaged belief system sponsor by a certain organised practice, organisation, church etc commanding a set of beliefs, often presented as the exact words of God speaking to chosen people about what people should and should not do.

Notice, an atheist who is not religious, does not believe in a creator, God, or deities, can still being very spiritual.

Religion is beliefs based on tradition, concise scriptures, and exact orders from a third party who claimed to talked with deities or God.

While Spirituality is conciousness, realisation, enlighteninment arising from the inner search within ourselves, the finding of our own truth without any claims of a third party

    Here's a spiritual awakening.

Where is God for people who suffer every second of the day? Take your meds, and seek active treatment. God won't do shit for you.

From what i hear on the news and such, spiritual awakenings sounds like it's related to PTSD. Someone has a traumatic experience or gets hit on the head then their natural defense would bring about "spiritual awakening".
