Welcome to Khmerlife, a closely monitored social networking forum dedicated to the Khmer community and friends. Our goal is to bring together Cambodians/Khmers residing in various parts of the world so that we may share, expand, and prolong our cultural experiences and understanding. Individual opinions expressed on this site, unavoidably, may be offensive to some. The following are rules and guidelines that will allow us to interact with one another with minimal repercussion.

Content

Nudity, Sexual Content, Inappropriate Material - This is not a XXX site. Posting and/or associating with pornographic imagery is unacceptable. Such content will be removed from the site. Members engaging in these activities will be given one warning. Repeated offenses will invoke serious consequences that may lead to being banned from the site.
Plagiarism - Individual expression, whether referenced or not, is not indicative of Khmerlife as a whole but can be detrimental to how Khmerlife is perceived. If it is not your work, cite it. Even a simple name and/or some sort of disclaimer will be justified.
Spams - Will be deleted immediately without warning. Spammers will be subject to a permanent ban.


Action/Language

Slander - Respect others as you would want to be respected. If you have personal problems with others, please resolve via “private messages”. If a resolution cannot be reached, contact one of the Moderators.
Discrimination – There is a thin line between personal opinions and racist comments. Your freedom of speech does not mean you can say whatever you feel is right. No personal attacks against members because of their race and/or preference.
Offensive Language -I know sometimes people have the urge to be internet tough guy/girl by curse words but please keep it to a minimum.
Harassment - Verbal misconduct should be reported to Moderators.
Instigating - Any intent to provoke other members will not be allowed


Disciplinary Action

Warning - 1st offense will receive a verbal warning via private message.
Temporary Ban - Repeated offenses will result in a temporary ban for seven days.
Permanent Ban - Spammers and any individuals who refuse to comply with the warnings of the Moderators and Site Administrators, in accordance with the terms of service, will be permanently banned.

Since KL is made up of pretty much the rejects of KC , the laws of the land here is anything goes, just don't be too much of an asinine or else you'll get regulated. And what falls under asinine is use your common sense.
