    But why?

For anyone who owns a 360 (not including people who own every console), why do you continue to buy from Microsoft? That's of course if your original 360 red ringed. You pay for online, plus the fee that some developers add on top of that to certain games. Then Microsoft expects you to buy their new system because they discontinued their wireless adapters. I can understand if you're a Halo fan and maybe the original Mass Effect. Forza? But why? Not to mention your discs get scratched up real easy. Some games have multiple discs. They JUST fixed their red ring problem and 360's been out for how long? So did you buy an xbox knowing full well it had an 80% failure rate? I'm just curious. And also a hater.

Well as for me coming from Ps3 (which I gave away ). I decided to get myself the slim 360 and I haven't looked back since lol. And tbh paying for xbl is well worth it really imo. The atmosphere feels so much different compared to the Ps3. And one more thing *Kinect*

The online experience is far greater than PSN or Wii.

Arwen's dad has like 5 of them. 2 had the red rings of death and the rest he threw them down and smashed it up...lol I guess COD has that hold on certain people where they keep going back. Everything we purchase, electronically, will fail at some point.

Of course it's greater, consumers are far more massive in number. But honestly, I'm not a big online player so online play alone just won't cut it for me. As for Kinect, there's been a huge increase in trade in's because the Kinect lacks in good games.

All systems has their problems. Xbox live is more active than any other system out there. It makes you think, so if the PS3 experience is so great, why would someone pay to go online with Xbox than to get it free with PS3. Better games. I got Xbox mainly for Halo. And I also have all 3 systems. I like the PS3 for Little Big Planet. One of the best games ever.

I wanted a Wii so bad, and now it's collecting dust....lol This topic reminds me of Apple iPhones. We're just fools sometimes.

I agree electronics will eventually fail, but I'd want something that will last me awhile if I'm going to pay a few hundred bucks. If Microsoft had put in the effort to avoid high failure rates instead of trying to compete and come out with a system first, then we wouldn't have a ton of 360s in the trash right now.

They fixed the red ring problem in 2008. Microsoft is awesome, and my university's program allows any student to obtain copies of ANY Microsoft software for free (including OS's). XBL is worth it, as PSN is shown to be a taaaad unreliable. Wireless networking adapters can be found on ebay, amazon, craigs list, etc.

    Did I cover everything?

There are none. It's not even remotely true. After 2008, Microsoft was confident enough to put on a 3 year extended warranty for all 360 consoles that experienced the three red lights error (general hardware failure) --- meaning, if your console had 3 red lights and it was out of warranty in like 2007, it costed 99 bucks to fix -- but in 2008 every single repair previously made for the 3RL's was refunded.

No reason to hate on the 360, I will say it came out a bit too early trying to get it released ahead of the PS3 was the main reason for all of the hardware failures, but it's fixed now. Three red lights can still happen, but it's extremely rare.

    P.S. I sold my 360 for a PS3

I own all systems. I prefer my 360 over my PS3. I had the original 360, and did NOT get the RROD. I also had the original PS3. I sold those and traded up. I bought the Halo Edition 360 and the COD Edition 360. Then I bought the "slim" 360. I gave my Halo edition and COD edition 360's to family members, but I still bought them. I also sold my original ps3 and bought a "slim" ps3.

So as you can see, I keep buying just because. The only 360 my family has had issues with was one of my brothers original 360 and the halo edition. That was due to the kids arguing and pulling plugs out the wall without properly shutting down. Do that to any electronic system and it will eventually give in.

And paying to play online? 42-49 dollars a year? What's so bad about that? Video games cost 60 dollars a pop now a days. It's just one less used video game per year you can buy. Imo, if you plan on gaming and you're broke, go play at a friends house or borrow it instead of buying the consoles and games.

I'm not gonna lie, the only reason I got an Xbox was to be able to play this game...
