I used to help people out all the time but when I need them, they are nowhere to be seen and unable to help. Argh* it's frustrating. I try not help as much nowadays but its my nature to help out and i am too nice. >_<

Thats the way the world is nowaday. They will disappear until they need to use you again. You really have to do favor expecting nothing in return - except to be use over and over again if they have their ways.

Thankfully I haven't had your problem yet. I think it's bc I'm very selective with who I have in my circle of friends? My dad has that problem though bc khmer people will call him left & right when they need help with stuff.

Cool down! Now you know how people are in this world. Never expect anything or trust anyone unless you have no choice. But, at least you know who your true friend is in that kind of situation. Relax and just accept the truth that we're in a selfish world yet we gotta enjoy it in any way we can. It's just what it is.

personal reference for a loan application? is that the same thing as a cosigner by any chance? just wondering cuz i had the worst experience when i was in my 20s. now i feel like blogging about that experience. i will never forget that experience cuz it impacted me in such a negative way.

Nope, not co-signer and no obligation for them. They are merely acting as personal reference to confirm identity of who i am as a loan applicant.
