San Jose Beer Festival (Subzero Festival of Art and Culture)

Last year was the 1st year of the festival and I had a chance to take part in it. Me and a friend of mine helped out selling tickets for beer tasting. These are basically local brewers that are trying to make their brands known to the public, and what better ways than presenting it at a festival. The festivity starts at 4:30PM and ends at midnight. There were many things going on such as live band, fashion show, art expo, and many more decorative stages, but I only had a brief walk through because I had to sell tickets at the beer booth. I only had less than a cup of beer because it was all gone when we were done selling tickets. Met Jasmine and a few other klers at the festival last year, that was nice. This year was a little different, we had too many beers. Most of them tasted nothing like beers, more like fruit drinks but they were 10% alcohol. we kept on drinking and next thing u know, we were laughing and walking like drunks---i wasnt until later. I knew I was drunk when I couldnt recognize my cousin standing 15ft away. Anyways, I had 6-7 12oz cups of alcohol, drunk, went home and passed out. never drinking that much again in a day. Fun event!!!

I think Cambodians need to introduce their own style of beer to the American market. They need to develop their own brewery and unique taste popular in the Cambodian social circles.

I'm tired of drinking all these foreign beers and making their countries rich.
