Today was a grand day for my brother - he got a car that he can finally call his own (so to speak)! Since I've worked at my current job for almost a year now, my dad thought it was a good time for me to purchase a car...for my brother. My dad knows I've maintained a good credit history, since I've enrolled for my first credit card at 18 years old. My friend texted me last night and asked me what I was doing on Wednesday, Feb. 13. I told him that I work that day, but I get off at 6 p.m. He asked me if I could be a panel speaker for Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), which was a club that I was in when I was in college; the meetings are usually held at 7 p.m.

My parents were talking with me yesterday about my plans for the future. I told them that I wanted to take care of them and have them live with me. Then they brought up how other people (their friends) see me:

"This girl was hit by a car when she was little, and she had to go through months of physical rehabilitation, now she's the first one in her family to finish college and start work...soon she's going to buy a house for her parents to live with her; what a great daughter ...

I hate them with a passion. I hate to see people get bossed around and/or belittled. It's the most pathetic way to gain social acceptance or popularity.

I've always built this mentality of, "If you mess with my friends or my family - then you're also messing with me."

This is a compelling video; what are your thoughts on it? As for me, I have mixed emotions about this particular music video. At first, the song itself didn't seem to match the music video, but now I get it the more I watched it. In sum, this song/video is about Cambodian (women) empowerment.
