Ladies what brand of nail polish do you like to purchase? (Essie, OPI, China Glaze, NYC, ZOYA, etc...)

Does the brand really matter to you?

Can't leave the fellows out. =) Do you guys have any reference on what kind of nail polish a lady would wear? A color that always catches your attention or a color you can't stand?

Brand does not matter. I'm super frugal and will only buy if it costs pennies or free. :D

Plus, I only have the patience to do my nails once in a long while. And because I play the violin, I have to keep my nails super short. :(

I like this topic. =] I was gonna create a thread on it last week. Let's see..my current collection consists of:

China Glaze - Good brand. Colors are nice and thick. Definitely recommend =)
China Glaze Crackle Glaze - for someone who isn't skilled in painting designs on her nails, the crackle glaze is an awesome way to achieve some sort of design. I have white and blue. The Sally's I go to are always out of Black and Pink. grrrRR...
Sally Hansen Diamond Strength - these are nice too. I recommend.
Sally Hansen Xtreme wear - I only have one in white. It's like white-out. The name speaks for itself. VERY hard to remove!
Pure ICE - cheap. colors usually require 2-3 layers (with the exception some of the dark colors)
N.Y.C. - "Long-Wearing Nail Enamel". The description also speaks for itself because it is hard to remove. =( The black polish needs several layers. Only good for using as a top coat I guess.
Sinful Colors - I only have this in glittery blue. Also doesn't come off easily.
love & beauty(from Forever 21) - this is alright.
Destined(from Tilly's) - LOOOVE the colors!!! I recommend this brand. Colors are nice and thick. MY FAVORITE =]
Charlotte Russe - I only have this in Black. It was pretty good until I got past halfway thru the bottle. Then it became clumpy. >=/

I hate it when there's still a good amount left in the bottle but the brush can't reach it. >_<

I hate girls who overdue it. It's like they're screaming for attention. I just like the classic, clean and classy nail color like these.

3D nails are cute depend on design and whose fingers they're on

i don't really know..lol i'll buy a pretty color..if it doesn't dry fast enough i'll stoop buying that brand. I just don't have enough patience so i never have nice nails when i paint them. lol they always smudge :(

add a tiny bit of nail polish remover and shake it up works a treat to get rid of the clumpyness... just make sure you let it sit so the bubbles go away after shaking ;D

i don't know about the brands, just whatever is offered at the salon (i think opi, china glaze, etc.). i usually alternate between a few colors - coral, very dark/deep purple/blue (looks almost black), natural tone (like the base for french mani).

I collect random brands, but like I said, my favorite is Orly. the price is reasonable and it goes on very nicely. and I always use fast dry top coat with every color

^nice collection, Rina. mine is smaller than yours but it's grown a lot over the past few months since I have time to paint my nails. I need to add some bright, fluorescent colors and some lavender as well. I want a rainbow collection =)

I like your collections, Rina, Rosy. I wish I can expand mine, but I don't paint my nails often. I'm trying to use the ones I got already up. I'm definitely on the look out for a nice nude color.

thanks. I actually paint my nails often but my skills hardly ever improved. I always end up with a crappy paint job. *sigh* someday I'll finally get it done right..

Have you guys ever tried out the color changing nail polish? I saw one (that changes from white to hot pink under the sunlight) on this website (http://www.bornprettystore.com/magic-pink-color-changing-mood-nail-polish-nail-p-1510.html). I'm gonna order one later.

It's awesome!

Coral is such a fun color, even in clothes. I was hesitant on the pinks because of my dark skin, but the contrast made the pinks stand out more. I get so many question on what color am I wearing. Haha

I love Sally Hansen brands and OPI is really good too. I refuse to wear certain brands just cause they chip easily. The NYC ones tends to chip easily for me.
