Please share for anyone interested in college in the Long Beach area. This is specifically targeted to Cambodians and other Southeast Asians. I'll actually be on campus that day for the NAFEA conference. :)
Journey to Success for Cambodian and other Southeast Asian Communities: Learn What it Takes to Get to College
Parents and students are invited to meet representatives from California State University campuses to learn about college options and the college application process.
Workshops
The college fair will feature many informative events and interactive workshops, including:
•How to Prepare for College
•Admissions and Applying
•How to Pay for College
•Online College Prep and Admissions Resources
When: Saturday, October 8, 2011, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Where: California State University, Long Beach
University Student Union ballrooms
Transportation: Buses will pick up College Fair participants at 8 a.m. at Mark Twain Library and at 8:20 a.m. at Long Beach Poly High to transport them to CSULB. Participants will be transported back to the same locations at the end of the event. All persons taking the bus need to present a release form to the bus driver. Please download the form here.
