THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS
(1) "Suffering" envelopes the world.
(2) Its cause is "selfish desires", "attachments", and "aversion to things unpleasant."
(3) It can be overcome with "Nibbana" (extinction of selfish desires, of suffering, of error, of ignorance), The "eternal state".
(4) The way to Nibbana is through "Buddhism".
THE NOBLE EIGHTFOLD PATH TO NIBBANA
(1) RIGHT VIEWS: free from superstition or delusion.
(2) RIGHT AIMS: high and worthy of the intelligent earnest man.
(3) RIGHT SPEECH: kind, open, and truthful.
(4) RIGHT CONDUCT: peaceful, honest, and pure.
(5) RIGHT LIVELIHOOD: bringing hurt or danger to no living thing.
(6) RIGHT EFFORT: in training and in self-control.
(7) RIGHT MINDFULNESS: being present and aware with the active watchful mind.
(8) RIGHT CONCENTRATION: meditation and earnest thoughts on the deep realities of life.
5 MORAL PRECEPTS FOR THE MONKS AND LAY_DISCIPLES
(1) Abstain from killing any living thing.
(2) Abstain from taking what is not given(theft).
(3) Abstain from Impurities(sexual misconduct).
(4) Abstain from false speech( harsh, lying, slander, gossip).
(5) Abstain from taking intoxicants which clouds the mind.
TEN PERFECTIONS TO WORK ON
(1) DANA: generosity, giving of oneself.
(2) SILA: virtue, Morality, proper conduct.
(3) NEKKHAMMA: renunciation
(4) PANNA: transcendental wisdom, insight.
(5) VIRIYA: energy, diligence, vigour, effort.
(6) Khanti: patience, tolerance, forbearance, acceptance, endurance.
(7) SACCA: truthfulness, honesty.
(8) ADHITTHANNA: determination, resolution.
(9) METTA: loving-kindness.
(10) UPEKKHA: equanimity, serenity.
