It's Friday, it's chilly, the wind is blowing and the sun is out (the sun is out!!!! o_O). My heater is turned on full blast but I'm still snuggling in my blanket, trying to keep my body warm(sigh...it's Washington). I pulled out my folder, yes the pink one that contains all of my notes from nursing class. As I looked through each page, gosh..I find myself just blankly staring at the glossary, I thought in my head.. (DAMN!!!) I never realized how many medical terms there is, page after page after page, front to back. How discouraging, eh..maybe not, considering the fact I've learned the terms. On the side note, LOLs some of the medical abbreviations weren't just matching up, it made no sense. I'm guessing all of that doesn't matter though, as long as the medical team understood the abbreviations on pts. chart. As far as I'm concern, know the medical terms, legal & ethical issues, and last! stay within my scope of practice. That's right, its not our way, it's state way. Oh and let's not forget to mention, I find it very annoying how some nurse go against doctor's orders, I've seen it in the hospitals.. Some just don't pay attn to what's written in the chart and for them to miss the sign posted right above the pts bed, its plainly pathetic!. Alright, enough.. back to studying.................=)
