I don't believe his color has anything to do with him being elected as our president.  White, black, green, or blue.  It was his aspirations to lead this country out of the hell hole W Bush had led us in, is what won mine and billions (all over the world) of others votes.  Let's not forget what was shoved in his face from the day 1...WAR...OUR ECONOMY ON THE BRINK OF A MELTDOWN...DEFICIT...etc.  And some of you think YOU had a stressfull day at work!...lol

Yes, I agree that the Nobel Peace Prize was a bit premature.  But as 'Roboto' stated in a previous comment, Obama felt the same way.  But he wasn't gonna deny the award.  He didn't get up there on the podium with a big grin on his face about it, it was straight business...he was humble and honored, as any of us would have been.  To me it was a great recognition from the Norwegian Nobel Committee (NNC) to the U.S. and the entire world as to say..." Hey...thanks man!  Yeah, I see what you mean...great point, bro.  We all make dozens of choices in our day to day lives.  And its obvious that we all don't make the same decisions.  I guess it's safe to say that I, myself, voted Obama because he convinced me that he has the 'HOPE' and 'CHANGE' that I was searching for.  But yeah, I def can't speak for everyone else, man.

i couldn't have said it better than Jay Leno when he commented on Obama's Nobel Peace Prize. " the biggest achievement President Obama has accomplished is winning the Nobel Peace prize".

But he didn't do anything.

Why give him the peace prize?

that is exactly the point Jay Leno is trying to make. I thought the same thing, Jay made a good point! "nobel peace prize is his biggest and only achievement, but for what? Being the first half black president?"

I knew exactly what Jay Leno meant by it. HAHA.

i love Jay Leno. i used to watch him religiously back 10 years ago and gotten the chance to meet him in person on Melrose. Man was nice enough to stop what he was doing for his show to talk to me, of course probably because I flashed him one of my flirty dazzling smiles and caught his attention from the crowd while he was taping Jaywalking. Anyways, back on subject... No accomplishments from Nobama!! P.S. i like Leno so much and his sense of humor, I picked up my sarcasm from him

and? your point is?

I like his health care plan. I just wish our country wasn't so messed up because we're not ready to spend money on anything new and unsure.

Fuck that everyone has the right to vote and if they want to vote soley on that reason let them, No one can say its wrong. Like a comedian said lets just get the first black guy there next time we will vote for the right reason! It just signifies what the U.S really is, that everyone has a chance!

Great post! chanse97! very in informative, but for the early nobel peace prize ward i didnt think it was a bit early at all. Just look at it this way, if you started a new job and it is very stressful job only a few would even considering taking that job, your boss came in with a box of donuts congrats you for something you did two days ago, would you feel happy? would that inspired you? would that encourage you to push it higher? i think this kind of praise and reward work well in a stressful jobs. Here a donut for you for showing up on KL hehe

i couldn't have said it better than Jay Leno when he commented on Obama's Nobel Peace Prize. " the biggest achievement President Obama has accomplished is winning the Nobel Peace prize".

I think they gave him the Nobel Peace prize because his attempt to make peace trough out the world by meeting with those leader even though they dont share his view of the west. Other presidents they just have too much condition and play the silence treatment with other leaders. So i think that why they gave him the Nobel Peace prize.

i couldn't agree more but also the reason why they gave him the noble peace prize is because he going to pull out the american troop from iraq.

The current condition of the country and his term as president, you may argue, that it's a reflection of a previous president or government. Meaning what was done in and with the last president are what's felt now. You won't know nor feel what his administration and the Democratic government has done for this country yet till mainly the term ends.

When his term ends, 4-8 years from now and 8+ years down the road some reflections to occur would be or maybe higher taxes and government run health care. I think he's doing fine at what he should be doing as president.

that what im afraid of, taxes will be high as hell in 4-8 years.

Obama is a terrible President, he's doing the opposite of what he had promised. In fact, it looks like to me that he's expanding president bush plans.
