i couldn't have said it better than Jay Leno when he commented on Obama's Nobel Peace Prize. " the biggest achievement President Obama has accomplished is winning the Nobel Peace prize".

i think obama is trying his best. since the first day he won the election. and it's hard to get everyone to back him up on his vision because other people only have their interests first. and i think the man doesnt sleep.

that is exactly the point Jay Leno is trying to make. I thought the same thing, Jay made a good point! "nobel peace prize is his biggest and only achievement, but for what? Being the first half black president?"

i love Jay Leno. i used to watch him religiously back 10 years ago and gotten the chance to meet him in person on Melrose. Man was nice enough to stop what he was doing for his show to talk to me, of course probably because I flashed him one of my flirty dazzling smiles and caught his attention from the crowd while he was taping Jaywalking. Anyways, back on subject... No accomplishments from Nobama!! P.S. i like Leno so much and his sense of humor, I picked up my sarcasm from him

He hasn't done anything great yet but he hasn't done anything stupid either so its already an improvement.

The U.S government is run by a three tier system the Executive, legistlative and judcial branches, Its to prevent the abuse of power. It a check and balance system.  So yea you can say obama is puppet. If you want him to. If you him give all the power it would be a communist country!

You met Jay Leno and you gave him your sparkling smile. Who could possibly come up with a better encounter than that?

well in that case my dear, thank you for the compliment, and no... my encounter with the "moon man" was much more than just a dazzling flirting smile. that was just how he noticed me then i stopped him in between takes of his Jawwalking interview, and he was cool enough about me disrupting his takes to talk to moi. and yes i got his autograph if you're wondering, on my shopping bag which i don't know where the heck it went. what i remember most was that he has the brightest set of blue eyes i had ever seen! I'd rather meet him again than have an encounter with Nobama.

I think they gave him the Nobel Peace prize because his attempt to make peace trough out the world by meeting with those leader even though they dont share his view of the west. Other presidents they just have too much condition and play the silence treatment with other leaders. So i think that why they gave him the Nobel Peace prize.

Wrong.

The deadline for the Nobel Peace Prize came within a month after Obama took office but they nominated him anyway.

But most of his tour attempt didnt come later after he took office but i'm not here to defend him. I just think we should give him some credit.

Give him his Nobel Peace Prize after he leaves office, not during it.

Wouldn't you feel weird during the second day at your new job they handed you an Employee of the Year award?

Obama felt that way too about the Nobel Peace Prize but what he can do about it? He has to go and accept it.

i don't know... i just can't shake off this feeling that he's only a president because he's a colored man and is overhyped by the media. its true he has yet to mess up, but thats probably why he hasn't accomplished anything yet. "never tried, never failed". I'll give credit to those who've tried hard, failed, but tries again. A president thats a bipartisan and has perseverance is what i like to see

The current condition of the country and his term as president, you may argue, that it's a reflection of a previous president or government. Meaning what was done in and with the last president are what's felt now. You won't know nor feel what his administration and the Democratic government has done for this country yet till mainly the term ends.

When his term ends, 4-8 years from now and 8+ years down the road some reflections to occur would be or maybe higher taxes and government run health care. I think he's doing fine at what he should be doing as president.

What?  He's done more as president in 30 days than any president in modern history.  It's just a joke that some people actually believe that this man can change the world at the snap of a finger...he hasn't even been in office for an entire year, yet?  What type of instant gratification are some people looking for?  Obama ENCOURAGES bipartisanship.  He continues to reach (overreach) across the tables.  But he's not gonna bend and fold at every demand from the GOP.  That's not bipartisanship.

I don't believe his color has anything to do with him being elected as our president.  White, black, green, or blue.  It was his aspirations to lead this country out of the hell hole W Bush had led us in, is what won mine and billions (all over the world) of others votes.  Let's not forget what was shoved in his face from the day 1...WAR...OUR ECONOMY ON THE BRINK OF A MELTDOWN...DEFICIT...etc.  And some of you think YOU had a stressfull day at work!...lol

Yes, I agree that the Nobel Peace Prize was a bit premature.  But as 'Roboto' stated in a previous comment, Obama felt the same way.  But he wasn't gonna deny the award.  He didn't get up there on the podium with a big grin on his face about it, it was straight business...he was humble and honored, as any of us would have been.  To me it was a great recognition from the Norwegian Nobel Committee (NNC) to the U.S. and the entire world as to say..." You want peace and prosperity...WE HAVE YOUR BACK."  Obama is attempting peace talks with leaders around the globe.  Something no president has ever done before.  Why do we want more enemies?...More wars?...More 9/11's?

I didn't mean to ramble on or anything but...Obama's my homie Cool

(ACHIEVEMENTS THUS FAR)

On the environment:

  • Included funding for "green" jobs in the stimulus bill

On Education, Equality, Public Safety, Families, etc.:

  • Expressed a desire to overturn Don't Ask Don't Tell

  • Described the Defense of Marriage Act as "unfair" and "discriminatory" and said they supported it being overturned

  • Includes atheists in his definition of Americans

  • Extended tax credits for mothers to return to college, for tuition, and for college textbook purchases

  • Has agreed to make the visitors' lists to the White House public

  • Signed executive order requiring Guantanamo to be closed within 1 year and allocated funds/personnel for that purpose

  • Included provision in stimulus legislation that, for the first time, supported the ideas of Net Neutrality-like non-discrimination and openness for the Internet

  • The administration demonstrated a new commitment to fighting for change on the UN Human Rights Council by announcing it will run for a seat next year, reversing the Bush administration boycott

  • Announced that the U.S. will support a United Nations declaration urging nations to decriminalize homosexuality

  • Created office of Urban Policy

  • Gave Department of Justice $2 billion for Byrne Grants, which funds anti-gang and anti-gun task forces (cut during Bush years)

  •

  • Helped free 2 American journalists from a North Korea prison
  • Led the UN Security Council in voting for strong sanctions against North Korea
  • Negotiated with Russia to allow overflights over their territory to establish a supply route into Northern Afghanistan
  •

On workers:

  • OSHA announced it was moving to protect workers from...popcorn long; last-minute Bush rules would have added 2 years before it could be considered

  • Revoked Bush administration executive order on regulatory review that enabled political appointees at the White House's OMB to override agencies' rulemaking, undermining everything from worker safety to environmental protection
