Ultrasound / Sonogram

Last year - 7/23/2009 @ 7:14 PM

So last week I had one scheduled but I was sick and couldn't down 32-40 ounces of water without feeling queasy before the exam.  And my bladder wasn't full enough so I had to reschedule.  Before I left for Kentucky I had another one and this time I was able to get it right although the whole pressing on my bladder until I almost peed in my pants was not cool.  It was an interesting experience w/ all the gel, etc though.

I got a call today that I need to come in for a follow-up which concerns me just the slightest bit.  Usually they just send me a letter with my lab results whether they are normal or abnormal etc like my iron tests.  Considering I will be in Kentucky until the end of the month, I have to wait almost two weeks to go in for the follow-up which means I have to wait for the verdict.

Anyways, I'm in Kentucky and still trying to get used to the three hour time difference.  And I'm looking forward to when my boyfriend is going to meet me up here on Saturday.  He took a week off of work to come visit with me.  :)  Woohoo!

I am anemic and they want to figure out if there is a reason why by doing a sonogram. What? Did you think I was pregnant? LOL!

I mean which one of these: bleeding, sickle cell or decrease in production.

I just have really low hemoglobin so most likely a decrease in production and not enough iron in my diet. I have to take iron supplements but they upset my tummy. Grr. They ordered the sonogram to figure out if it's due to the bleeding but will find out in two weeks I guess.

starts sing danity kane " bad girl, bad girl" lol, I' m to low on iron They said its because of a mutated gene that affects a high percentage of SE asians. Its not a big thing If if one parent is recessive and one dominate but if both or dominate there is a big problem so that is why I have to chose my mate carefully. lol Its called the hemoglobin E defect I believe. It may not be what you have.
