Picture: Has Beyonce Knowles been 'whitewashed' in new L'Oreal ad?

Here's Beyonce Knowles as you're never seen before - with her usual image on the right.

The image on the left is for an advertising campaign by beauty giant L’Oreal who are being accused of doctoring the picture to ‘whitewash' the black singer.

Different lighting and hair colour makes a lot of difference to a person. I don't think she's whitwashed.. I've seen her look like this in numerous other photos. L'Oreal also said that they did not manipulate the photo.

Its the foundation I mean look at me people say I look pale but really its the make up.

When I dyed my hair blond I'll admit it wantted to look white.

She's medium white in most of photos. This is the most white I've seen of her. If it's lighting why even use that photo or adjust the lighting. Def they just want to spark controversy and make a selling.

You ladies are missing the point. Yes it's the lighting, yes it's the makeup. But why use that photo? I'm sure they have other photos of her darker. It's pretty obvious it's their marketing strategy.

Your hair color can change your race? hhahah that's some strategy.. I see white people in the media get glorifying all the time this is kinda expected changing black to white.. back when they didn't want black stars to star's in movie they made white people dressed in dark make up.. You see white people trying to get a tan.. people hate something about them and want something that they don't have.. its confusion of self image that all people have.

^ In a photoshoot, the lighting is the same for each photo unless they did a few different photoshoots just for that one shot. I'm sure there was only one photoshoot. That means all the pics of her skin colour looks the same. I think they choose to do a shoot with that kind of lighting cus they liked how it looked. L'oreal is already a successful, big company that has numerous celebrities used in the campaign. I highly doubt it's a marketing strategy. This 'strategy' brings more negative attention rather than positive.

she looks much better on the right, with the darker hair and complexion. i tend to agree with mr. uzumaki, he makes a good point.

Most fashion companies likes to create controversy with their ads inorder to maintain popularity even though they are already successful. Abercrombie and Fitch is famous for that.

So nobody didn't nottice that she been looking lighter and lighter?.. tan with dark hair, to tan with light hair, light hair and light skin and that's your end result.. unless you want to look Albino..lol ....(Mexican people are trying to look white people too I mean have you looked at there channels they all look white plastic Barbie dolls)
